Client vision
The client needed a way to turn their meeting which which would normally be carried out live, fully virtual. They also needed a way to enable the head table to work together in the same room and moderate the meeting as it was executed.
Client outcomes
The meeting was a success. This was despite a snap lock-down in Melbourne halfway through the event which we handled by transitioning some interpreters to deliver language services remotely.

The solution we provided
Head Table
The onsite head table worked out of a hotel in the Canberra CBD. Each participant was equipped with a push-to-talk microphone. These were integrated with automatic broadcast quality PTZ cameras. Their audio and video was fed directly into the Zoom meeting. They were also provided screens and monitors so that all in-person participants could use speaker view, gallery view and shared documents.
Language Options
In order to provide the required language options for the event we had simultaneous interpretation in English, French and Spanish. Each of the interpreters was set up in an ISO-compliant interpreter booth working inside the same room as the head table. Interpreters were equipped with the latest IP-based Bosch interpreter equipment.
Virtual Meeting
Virtual participants joined via Zoom and were able to experience the meeting and communicate in either English, French or Spanish. Live technical support was provided and the delivery of their first virtual event went smoothly.
